S.P.N. S.S.K Public School Mukerian is based on warm caring relationships, focuses on the useful and relevant application of knowledge with a goal of competence. Our aim is quality of institute’s programs and the worth of its product. It is a place where students are taught the fundamentals of life as well as how to grow and survive in life. It instils values and principles that serve as the foundation for a child’s development. Our facility is there to mold students desire, dedication and determination to the path of success.

In the beginning Late Shri B.N. Makkar ji (ex-forest minister) decided to start a model school in backward area of Mukerian to provide quality education. The foundation stone of Swami Premanand Shishu Shiksha Kendra was laid in the year 1966. Makkar ji started this institution in the sweet memory of 108 Shri Swami Premanand ji who was expired in a car accident in Mukerian. Firstly, Makkar ji started the classes for the students up to 5^th standard in his own house . After few years, this school building was built at Dussehra Ground with great struggle and then School was shifted in this building. The Education Minister Mr. Sukhjinder Singh inaugurated this school on 23^rd April 1994. Then it was converted into middle standard and after some years into a high school. Its name was then changed to Swami Premanand SSK Public High School Mukerian. The school was affiliated with PSEB board in 1994.
